.lara's ladies night.

our whole booth
.lara's ladies night.  Last Tuesday I participated in Lara's ladies night as a vendor at Lara's Tortilla Flats.  It was my first time selling crafts in person.  I sold with my sister, Hilary who just started selling baby items at the ant hil.  There were not too many people there which was a little disappointing.  However, we both think there will be people who come to the next couple ladies nights in November and December as we get closer to Christmas.  And we got asked by another vendor to participate in a Holiday Craft show - so not all hope was lost.
Overall, I had a lot of fun and am using this as an opportunity to learn.  We are learning how to set up our booth.  How many items to bring (we brought way too many).  And how to talk with people about our crafts.  We learned that we are really slow at packing up.  Although we thought we were fast, everyone else was gone before we had our first box packed.  And I learned that doing a craft show with an infant is a bit tricky.
So how about you.  Was your first craft show a hit or miss?  How do you set up your booth?  Any tips to give us for the future?  .lara's ladies night.
