.peaceful bliss.

ahhhhhh. right now is nap time - love it! I enjoy when Lydia sleeps because it means I can get the things done I need to - and the things done that I want to. Her naps are my peaceful bliss they get me through the day. I love them. I do also love her though, and sometimes I wish she would wake up so I could play with her - but as soon as that ever enters my mind I think - YOU ARE CRAZY - enjoy the quiet. I am off to enjoy the quiet peaceful bliss that will only last a short while. Find yours today. :)

.perfect world.

in a perfect world:
*my coffee pot would always be full.
*women would loose their baby weight and have their oh-once-so-fabulous bodies back as soon as their wee ones were born.
*I would have enough time to make dinner, clean the house, run errands, do crafts, play with Lydia, and look good all in one day.
*laundry and dishes would wash themselves.
*the Brewers and Packers would always rule the sporting world. (this one is purely for my husband)
*nap times would last a little longer.
*I would have a warehouse of crafting supplies.
*I would also have unlimited access to chocolate.
what does yours look like?

.enough already.

enough already. I always say I am going to update my shop and then I don't - I start making crafty goodness for other people and to give away. So now I am giving myself a date... something to help me focus on.... an end to this constant hum in my mind... a goal. I have been having oodles of fun making books and journals - so that is what will be in my shop. My shop will be updated on Wednesday August 12th. This is so that I can actually get my stuff in order first - and its my husbands Birthday on the 11th, so I want to make sure he gets a proper celebration. Below are sneak peaks at my upcoming shop update. Plus ONE - SHE is so stinkin cute today.

Yay. now that THATS done and set in stone - in STONE I tell you. I have a Brewer game and dinner to get at. Have a wonderful day :)

.persistent bird.

WOW. Yesterday I was in a funk, a real one that I needed to get out of. I still feel the stress in me, although it has definitely gone down a notch or three. As I was driving home from a friends I thought - maybe this is God telling me to trust in Him more and really dive into the Bible more. Unfortunately, I have yet to do that even though I KNOW it will help. I am like that persistent bird at my parents who keeps trying to fly into the house via the glass window - only to bounce right back (and frequently knock itself out). Why - when I know reading the Bible and praying more - do I still try to do things on my own? Why can't I just enter through the door. The door of possibilities - God's door, His word. Ugh, such a funk. Through the words of Nike - Just Do It, and your life will be all the more better for it. Here I go.

.chicago mini.

I made a mini book. I made it from our weekend visit to Chicago two weekends ago - and I loved the entire process. I love it and can't wait to make another one.

To make it I used a hole punch, paper, velum, rings, card stock, scraps from our trip, and a lot of double sided tape.

To view closer click on the picture. Two pages are missing - I will try to update soon. I am sorry about the glare.

.new projects.

No I have not disappeared, gotten lost, or injured in anyway. I have just been plain busy. And, I am only getting busier next week... so I may not post again for a while, but I will try. I easily tier from project to project and I love starting new ones before I finish. I don't know if that is just how I am or if others do it too. But learning about something completely different and giving it a go makes me feel good. And I will return to those old projects someday, maybe not soon - but someday.

Here is the new project and area I have been focusing on lately: a mini book. I made this one out of a thank you card (thank you Erin). I glued the card to some cardboard to thicken it up and then folded sheets of paper inside. I then bound the paper, cover, and back together. I did not
really have one stitch I used - I kinda just made it up. I am going
to try however to use a Coptic bound stitch on a couple more I plan on making. I hope you enjoy looking at it - I think its beautiful :) Oh, and if you have any pointers on book making or Coptic stitch please share!
Oh... and an extra special HAPPY FOUR MONTHS LYDIA! I love you little girl :)
For the rest of the day my focus will be on keeping Lydia happy - poor thing got poked and prodded bright and early this morning for her check up & then got some nasty shots to top that off. She did quite well, but I do see a long walk to the farmers market in the making - stroller rides are usually a happy time for all.
