.so I got my sew on.

Lately - I have finally been able to get my sew on. It has been wonderful. I posted before how it use to be my stress relief, once I started sewing again I realized how true that is. I love it. I haven't really been making anything major just some burp cloths for friends.
I did manage to make one new item, the comfy jumper dress by Amy Butler. This pattern is in her book little stitches for little ones (I love this book and have created many items for my home from her wonderful patterns). The dress turned out well and I was able to give it to the little birthday girl on time. I hope it fits her!

.mothers day.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was my first mothers day as a mom! To celebrate we went to Glaze a studio in Cedarburg, WI. There we got Lydia's feet painted and stamped onto a plate. It was all I wanted - spending the day painting. I had a lot of fun and am excited to go back there and paint some more.

I watched as Lydia got her feet painted and pressed onto the plate. She didn't mind getting her feet painted - but when they stamped her foot her face would scrunch up and she would start to whimper, ah she was so cute.

I got the plate back and it turned out well - pink little feet with her name and birth date in purple. I love it, I love it, I love it. And I love her. This is the fun part of being a mom that I was so looking forward to.

.gotta get my sew on.

Ok... so I know that over a month ago I posted about starting to sew. But then reality kicked in and I needed to take care of my baby. Lydia is officially two months tomorrow, and takes up most of my time - which she should. I love taking care of a baby and I love knowing she solely depends on me. I also love that God has given her to me, I feel so lucky sometimes... most of the time actually. Lydia, I love you - but I gotta get my sew on. Before she was born I would sew to de-stress, now I need to more then ever.
I have been spending a lot of time on websites (when I am feeding her... multitasking is great) looking at things I want to make and wishing I had the time. Today is the day to start. So tonight when Aaron gets home I am gonna get my sew on. And today's schedule, ha if I can call it that, will require me to go to the craft store to get some fabric or thread... or something. Because look out machine TONIGHT I AM GETTING MY SEW ON!!!
Can't Wait :)
