work and date

Wow - What a week. This week has been full of new activity's that have been keeping me going. Tuesday we went to a Brewer game that Lydia decided to protest against, even though they actually won. She thought it was too loud and decided she would rather cry then cheer. Poor girl - that will teach us to bring her to the game. It is actually more work then fun & I am considering a babysitter for the remaining games. However, because she was awake in protest for so long she slept from 11 to 6, yaaaaaaay!

As for last night, it was my first night back to work. I was nervous for myself and for Aaron. But upon arriving home, Lydia was sleeping and all was fine. And, I didn't have to hear her during her nightly fuss routine - so it seemed to work out just fine. :)

Tonight will be our first night away from her as a couple. I feel like it has been forever since Aaron and I have hung out together, and husband & wife time is desperately needed. We are grateful to have a friend come and watch her, but also kinda nervous at the fact that we will both be away from her.

Another thing to set my nerves on fire today - I am watching the Lasnoski children this afternoon. The two girls are 3 (almost) and 1 (almost) and then of course Lydia 8 weeks (almost). We will see how it goes.... I think a lot of prayer will be required.

As for prayer and time with the Lord, I have found myself leaning on him more then ever. It's nice actually, knowing that God is on my side through all I do. I know I can lean on him in every situation. I just finished my study on Ruth - which was great. It is my favorite book in the entire Bible. It always has been, I don't exactly know why. But I truly love it and could read that book many, many more times without growing tired of it.

My next study will be with Aaron on the Song of Songs. I am excited to start it with him, it has been a while since we did a study together. We are usually doing our own, or doing one with the other Bible studies we are in. So doing a study together is almost always on the back burner. But its time to turn the front burner on again and make it a priority.
The picture was from the first day we brought Lydia home... so stinkin cute!

That's it for now. ready. set. get going. clean.

yellow duck

Thank you yellow duck for all you do. Lydia loves you and often just hangs out staring at you, letting me get some extra needed things done around the house. I love that she is completely happy when you are swinging around.

And what is love: Jesus. Our family is so blessed to have him be the center of every relationship. What a wonderful and awesome gift God gives his people through trusting in Jesus name. I can only hope and pray that Lydia will hold him in her heart as she grows. I have found complete peace when I trust in him and follow his ways. This week I have been studying the book of Ruth as it is my favorite book in the Bible. I love it and am in awe at this glorious story.

This weekend was amazing, we did absolutely nothing - and it was all I thought it would be and more. Now that we are refreshed we can start a new day and week.

Today's agenda - lunch with Kira, grocery shopping, and cleaning.
ready. set. launch.

early bird

Waking up too early...maybe we can sleep. Lydia decided that being an early bird was going to be her thing today. So I found myself hanging out in the living room with her at 6 this morning. Above is a picture from this week when she was sleeping - so peacefully. :)

It's hard to believe that tomorrow she will be seven weeks! There not kidding when they say they grow too fast. I love that she has more facial expressions and has the biggest smile in the world - that of course captures my heart each time. What else is new: she is starting to coo - and Aaron likes to think he can make her say gaaa...

Today we have no plans - its funny how that works when you have a baby. We were going to look at a house, but seeing as it was sold yesterday that is no longer an option. Ah, I love days like this that the Lord so necessarily provides.

so. roll with the punches. laundry. coffee. go.

Three Characters

Hello Sunshine. Where have you been all my life, or at least winter? Since it finally decided to be warm today we went for a long walk. And when I say long, I mean it. The original reason for the walk was to stop by the post office or a mailbox to drop off a couple letters - some thank you notes that were still looming around our coffee table. Unfortunately the letters have now just moved into my purse.

On our walk we meet some interesting characters. Three to be exact. The first was a boy who needed a phone because he ran away from school, or as he told me, walked out. I don't know what school but as I talked with him I was thinking: I don't think I would have ever had the guts to do that & two what the crap kid, school is not that bad. None the less I directed him to the police station where I said they would probably let him use the phone - mine was lost in my purse underneath a plethora of baby things, movies, and my sweater (which I totally should have kept at home since it was mid 80's). Hope you made it home kid.

Number two was in the coffee shop. This lady was a hoot. I mean really - a woman in her 80's or 90's (I can't tell after a certain age) came in her walker into the coffee shop. She came right up to me, although I have never even seen her, and asked me to write down my name - so I did, because lets face it you can't really say no to an elderly lady when they ask you to do something. Then she looked at it and started telling me what my name means and my fortune. How weird, right? Although she was different she made me smile, Thanks for brightening up my day.

Then we have tres. She was another elderly lady in her walker. So cute that they all come out when it gets warm - I truly love seeing them walk around town not just boarded up in the retirement home next to where we live. Anyhow, this lady was adorable. She talked to me about how nice the weather was and I agree, its a beautiful day. She then told me she only wore her jacket because it had pockets and her pants did not, and she needed a place for her key. She declared that she hated those pants and that all clothing should have pockets. I agree, yes sari.

Now that were home - it's dinner. walk. movie. sleep.

Ready. Set. Go.
