.blog day - giveaway.

.blog day - giveaway.  Ah I love the blog day giveaway.  It is the reason... well one of the reasons I started blogging.  During the last giveaway I won four prizes!  FOUR! - Three of them made it to my house, one of them I gave away, one of them is in the toy bin, and one is still in constant use.  Since I had so much fun last time I have decided to give away one of my bags.  I am giving away a classic tote. .blog day - giveaway.
*Giveaway has been closed.  Thank you.*

Classic Tote: This is an awesome reusable bag for carrying groceries, books, clothing, baby gear, or crafts. It is much stronger and cuter than an average plastic bag. Its large handles make for a comfortable hold even when the bag is full. There is a perfect front pocket on the outside to hold your smaller items while out and about.

This bag measures, approximately, 13 inches across, 16.5 inches tall (not including handles), and 5.5 inched deep. The front pocket is 9 inches by 9 inches.

Here are the rules:
*You need to leave a comment below telling me your favorite Christmas tradition.
*Please leave me a way of contacting you... if there is no email on your blog & I don't have it I will draw a new winner!
*If you visit my etsy shop & leave me a comment of your favorite item, then you will get an additional entry... that means leave two separate comments (one about your tradition & one about the item).
*At this time I will only ship to residents in the USA or Canada.
*Entry will be drawn at random out of a hat or bowl or whatever I can find Monday morning.
*You have until Sunday December 6th at Midnight to enter - Winner will be posted Monday, December 7th, in the afternoon.
*That's it - good luck to all of you!
*Giveaway has been closed.  Thank you.*

Since I am asking for your traditions I feel its only fair to share mine.  We are starting a tradition this year - so its not one quite yet, but it will be. That tradition is baking a Birthday cake for Jesus.  We are excited at this house and there has already been much discussion on what kind of cake He would want.  We have decided to make a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. yum.

Go to Sew Mama Sew for more great giveaways!
*Giveaway has been closed.  Thank you.*

hi there! I love the tote! I have so many favorite traditions! We just put up our nativity scene tonight. It was made by my husband's godmother, and given to us at our wedding. That's always a highlight of the season. I also love our annual cookie exchange, and our Christmas eve tradition of tamales and card games, but one of my favorite new traditions is seeing our kids learn the songs for their preschool programs. Today our three year old was trying to sing to me about the baby Jesus in the stable on the sweet sweet hay... there's so many things to love about the holidays! (i haven't used my swap fabric yet either - shhh!)

What a gorgeous tote. Too beautiful for groceries. I am commenting from Australia. I know I can't be in the running but I thought I would play anyway as you had the time to stop by and see me. Very unconventional but every year my family watches the Die Hard Trilogy (no. four hasn't yet made it to the billing) Violent movies yes, but we all get to together, shout out the lines as we know most of them and laugh and laugh and laugh. Happy holidays.

Gorgeous bag! I love everything about Christmas, so it's very hard to pick just one tradition but I'll go with shopping for my boys. I love picking out things I know they'll love and imagining the looks on their faces when they open it up.

My favorite tradition is making a Christmas tree shape out of cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. Simple, easy, and it brings me joy and warmth from the love of my Mommy who did it for me all the Christmases of my youth. Traditions do not need to be elaborate to be cherished!

My favorite Christmas tradition is the christmas tree. I love going out in the cold to pick one out (it has to be cold or it doesn't count). Then coming home to decorate it. I LOVE decorating our tree. This year it is only lights and ornaments, but some years it's garland or tinsel as well.

Love the beautiful green fabric and it's so roomy and big awesome! Christmas traditions, well we have a gift for Jesus under my parents' tree. It's really just a wrapped up old shoe box and each year when growing up me and my brother would draw a picture or write down something nice we did. That would go into the gift for Jesus. We're going to start it again with my 3 year old this year, the same age we were when my parents started us.

LOL - we have a silly Family Tradition - celebrating Christmas Adam, which is December 23, the day before Christmas "Eve". I don't remember exactly when it started, but it was way back when the kids were very little. We were trying to explain Christmas Eve, and somewhere along the way the Bible stories got mixed up and we got Christmas Adam.

How do we celebrate? By eating smoked RIBS, of course!!

Thank you for visiting Keeping the Faith!

Lovely tote! I love give-away day too! My favorite Christmas tradition is new this year for us too! I found this book at the book store about the Elf on the Shelf, and it comes with a little vintage-looking elf doll. He watches the kids each day during December, and every night, he flies to the North Pole to report to Santa on whether they've been naughty or nice! It has worked like a charm the past few days, and my oldest loves to talk about our elf!

Your bag is lovely! One of our Christmas traditions has come about my default -- I teach and grades usually go in right before Christmas Eve. Until then we are usually crazy busy finishing up the semester grading so every year we wind up going to the Christmas tree lot two days before Christmas and getting our very own Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

Melissa said...

That bag is beautiful! It would be so much more fun to use than my ugly old store bags. Thanks for a fun giveaway!

We are a family steeped in tradition, but one that we love is putting out a little empty manger under the tree. Each Monday, we draw names to choose a person in our family that we then do secret services for during the week. For each thing you do, you put a straw in the manger. The goal is to make a nice soft bed so that Baby Jesus can arrive on Christmas eve. It really helps take some of the focus off of "getting" and my children are more aware of what they are "giving" at Christmas time.

Gorgeous bag. It would make a great beach or picnic tote.

I love Christmas morning "Breakfast In Bed". Our children have taken it upon themselves to start and continue this tradition. We are ordered to "not wake up" until breakfast time. When our kiddos have made a wonderful breakfast they bring is to our room - complete with fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Then all the kids pile into Mommy and Daddies bed and we have a wonderful time eating and sharing the wonderments of Christmas. Memories I will cherish forever.

These giveaways are fun. I keep remember new traditions each time someone asks about it!

Okay, for this one I think my favorite tradition is one I don't really do anymore. When I was little, I used to get stomach aches I was so excited about Christmas. About 4 in the morning I would creep downstairs to check my stocking. After a quick peek, I'd sneak back upstairs, lay in bed for a half hour and repeat the process until I heard my Mom get up. Now I just like sleep too much!

In your shop I really like your recycled tags just for the idea! I think I'm going to do that this year. I also like the orange envelope notebook.

LOVE this bag! and, love this song that is playing... Glory (Selah). one of my favorite christmas traditions is after decorating our tree, we turn off all the lights except for the tree and sit around in the dark looking at the tree and drinking egg nog or custard. :)

Hello, I love the tote! What a wonderful giveaway. My favorite tradition at Christmas time is to visit a live nativity put on by a local church. We go every year and look forward to listening once again to the story of Jesus' birth. We always stay behind at the end to pat the sheep.

My favorite tradition is getting sitting by the tree before bedtime on Christmas eve and opening one small present while we listen to Christmas music.
You have beautiful music playing by the way!

What a cute bag! My favorite holiday tradition is bundling everyone up in PJs on Christmas Eve and driving around to look at all the lights, then coming home for hot chocolate by the fire! And HI! from a fellow Wisconsinite!

Rebecca said...

We get together with a bunch of friends every year and do a train ride through a light display at a local greenhouse. Afterwards we come back to our place for hot chocolate and socializing while the kids all go downstairs to watch a Christmas movie.

My favorite holiday tradition is my family always has pita bread pizzas on Christmas Eve and then opens our gifts. It's great because it's such an easy meal that no one ever gets stressed out about it, who doesn't love pizza?, and it's different than the norm. We usually have a more traditional holiday meal on Christmas Day, but I love the pita bread pizzas more. :-) annie@gluegunannie.com

This tote is adorable! I love green too!

One of our family traditions is to hang a large nail on a red thread close to the trunk of our christmas tree to remind us of God's gift to us...Jesus Christ...and his death and resurrection...given so that we would live. Praise God for his salvation!

Merry Christmas and thanks for the giveaway!

love the tote! i just love christmas and all it entails--i love going 'home' to be with my family, cooking up a storm, eating piles of swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes, and listening to my little nieces and nephew running around the house. a 'tradition' we had was opening our gifts on christmas eve--i believe it's a scandanavian thing--and for years and years we went around our neighborhood and caroled our hearts out. so fun...
